• I picked for studying one of the live ongoing projects on design of parallel tools in eclipse platform, the PTP project. I worked with the developers in fixing the bugs in this tool and they were kind enough to put my name up on the project's contributer's list.

• Lam/MPI Homepage
  Tip: Fedora Core 4 comes with LAM package. Select it during install & just make sure you update LAM by using "yum update lam" from console. Fedora Core 5 comes with LAm 7 so you can directly use it.

• An excellent beginner's guide on LAM/MPI can be found here. I personally found it extremely useful.
• The book Parallel Programming with MPI by Peter S Patcheco is really useful for learning various concepts in parallel programming. I read quite a few chapters from there for my assignments.
